Gahanna Pride began as a grassroots movement founded by Katie McBroom, a passionate local resident with a deep commitment to community and giving back.
Inspired by the legacy of Stonewall and driven by a desire to create a more inclusive and supportive environment, Katie launched Gahanna Pride to ensure that LGBTQ+ individuals—especially youth—have a space where they feel seen, safe, and celebrated.
Katie’s dedication to service and community-building has shaped Gahanna Pride into more than just an event; it’s a movement rooted in love, visibility, and belonging. Since its inception, Gahanna Pride has grown into an annual tradition that brings people together from all walks of life to uplift diverse voices, honor our shared history, and celebrate the vibrant LGBTQ+ community in Gahanna and beyond.
